El Music!

Recommended Posts

http://el.tfm.ro/music.zip

It is about 25MB to download.

All you need to do is unzip it into your Eternal Lands directory. When you unzip it, there should be a folder called Music created. Make sure there are no subfolders inside the music folder, and that you only see the music files and the playlist files. Then restart the game, and make sure you have the Music Enabled. Not all the maps have music yet, and certain parts of certain maps don't have any music either.

To always have the sound fx & music play when you start the game, all you have to do is go to the ELConfig.exe program in your EL directory. There you will be able to check if you want the sound/music to be enabled or disabled.

is that a hint? :) so i gues we wont have to wait super long for the next client update? :D

You don't have to wait. Just compile your own from CVS.

The new format has 5 params before the filename. The old format just has 2, with different meanings. I put "1 100" for each file, which means the file will always be played.

Don't forget to keep the original files for when the new client appears.

Cut'n'paste a line from one of the pll files so I can see what you did.

If you got it to work, wouldn't it be nice of you to cut-and-paste an example of what you did?

CODE

1 100 mountainwoods.ogg

Needs to be:

CODE

1 100 ./music/mountainwoods.ogg

In fact either format will do. It is odd that that change got it working for Derin.

Buuhan1: Nor sure why it still doesn't work. The pll and the ogg files need to be in the music subdirectory from the main EL directory. Check that you havent accidentaly got two levels of music directory - the zip file should have been unzipped from the EL main directory.
