Congratz to your kill, if it's worth anything to you to kill nearly naked ppl lol.

But I am not a "cheapass" pls, I just have the power to calc hehe.

 

With rosto prices of ~70k, it makes no sense to use it on hydro route, since

you only carry stuff worth ~40k, and lose ~20k if getting killed. Even when I

started hydro running and rosto was ~50k, it wasnt worth it. So what?

I harved ~60k hydro ore in my life, that's ~2k runs and I got killed maybe 3 times?

 

I hope ppl start to think and won't use rosto on hydro route, you just don't need it.

And I think you will be lonely there soon, another thing ppl should start to think about.

You killed me on one of my last runs I decided to do ever, since it's not worth it anymore.

 

You ask why? Oh, it's so simple. Hydro bars are now ~14.6k market value, but wait,

a miracle, the NPC only charges 15k, thats a whopping 400gc more, 20k gc for a

hydro nexus. C'mon is that really so much more expensive? Now some ppl will say:

We have recycling day ingame. I just answer, really? A day that seems to come

every, uhm, 6 months? or even less? Is that really worth the wait?

 

Recycling day has 5% chance for extra items, so if you have stuff for 1 hydro nexus,

you get 2.5 hydro bars extra -> about ~36.5k gc extra, but you can also crit a hydro bar,

if you mix it yourself, no matter how high your alc level is. If you get killed once or twice

on your hydro travelling nowadays WITHOUT rosto, you break even, so really it's not

worth your time and effort.

 

Well, just make your own calculations, and ask yourself, if it's a worth it, or just go on

strike and simply don't run hydro anymore

Raistlinn, the you math is pretty broken ppls who buy hydro usualy doesnt harv it themself, either ppls who harv it usualy doesnt mix s2e but trade 10:12... don't say you are wrong with mathing rosto tho... in some case you are right, but in other case you link'ed (if thats right word?) 3 kind of players (mixers/hydro harvers and pro's), ofc there is ppls who harv for themself and then your mathing is 100% right, but if we split thous 3 kind of players your math doesnt work.

Your eng level doesnt means much ... it help's but for bombing all you need is HP... its about time for you all to check this (who still didnt saw it in years after i made it with mad's and koddy... )

I think Raistlin is right because the hydro bar price is ~15kgcs. At this price, pro's do not get a better price than npc price, mixers do not get profit because they usually buy steel and iron bars and hydro runners have to increase the ratio because they can die (and in my opinion they cannot increase the ratio more than 10:12).

In conclusion, now it is better buy the hydro bar at npc.

Same idea here, better buy the hydro bars from npc, instead of buying steel and iron bars and harvest the hydro.

 

But I also think hydro harvesting generates a lot a trading between players. Some will mix the fe, some will harvest coal, some will mix the steel/iron bars, some will mix the swords and they all trade with each other. So if you only get gc from instances and buy hydro bars from NPCs you kill some of the market. I'm not sure what the impact would be, but doesn't look good to me.

 

Maybe instead of pk maps we have maps with few dragons around.

you dont get it again. look simple example:
if i want to buy 500 hydro bars, the price diference on 400 gc means prety much, include that i wont buy ings to mix bars or s2es to harv. i say in market SELL ME F**** HYDRO BARS, if someone sell ok i buy, if i wont get it i will ofc use NPC, but thats why there is diferend "style/player" one is hydro buyer, one is ores getter (harver/buyer) one is mixer and one is harver of hydro... dont connect all them to 1 player (yes we have allarounders, maybe even more than before... but still i strongly beleave that most hydro is bought by instancers/hight pro's) who cba to harv/mix or harv hydro...


either if you are s2e to hydro trader you get 6hydro ores profit per one run without harving iron coal or w/e is needed to mix em... (i know that some runners was making 30kish gc per hour PROFIT only (exluce the fee they was paying to me to let them harv what was 1 ore per run)

either for mixers mixing s2e is smallest gc loose (proly not realy sure) with getting manuf exp (coz ings is prety equal to s2e price and s2e is easy to sell if you get long therm partners)

 

personaly i bought most of my hydro from NPC, just coz cba to spam market and i think its best option tho (hydro worth to be removed or changed)... and i fully agree with you all about "buy hydro from npc" just saying the system of math isnt correct...

Anyway you always have choice to buy bars from NPC or from chars who own hydro way.

1 s2e is 16 steel bar at 69gcea 2 iron bar at 49gc ea (70 and 50 at npc) and 4 fe (5gc ea) this is asuming prices where you can sell the ings on market in no time. so the price for one s2e is with food at 1225gc if you do not fail any s2e on making

add 1 s2e failure per 100 s2e (which is a very good rate) then you have 1378gc making costs on a normal day.

for a hydro bar you need to add 75gc for coal and fire esses so it makes 10*1378+75 thats 13855gc lets say also per 100 bars you make 1 critic failure (a very good rate) then you are at rounded 14kgc per bar without any profit (and you have to run a lot and spend lots of time running)

add now 1 s2e loss per 30 s2e because of pking and you are at 14450gc per run. with the costs of esses and so on per run you are then at over 14500gc per hydro bar without any profit. lest say a fast runner can make a run in 10 min. if i train 10 mins on a 100 A/d mob i have - the costs for fighting, more then 500gc in my inventory, so really the npc price is not so far off anymore that i would consider making new s2e.

the s2e i have and get in between i might use on a run at a no drop day. but for getting hydro bars. its no longer really profitable for me

fyi: i knows his spawns too and check them myself.. kill lenny too when i see him, and do other things too, so i think it's not that bad to kill a competitor when you have a chance.. (maybe you just too greedy and wanna every joker? )
and again here alot (way much more then just II, which is pk map in the first place) places for joker/lenny not like it's primary map for such thing..

Funniest day in my EL history is attacking a MILF that had been invaded on the hydro route. Stivy had gotten it to one of the non-pk forts, and I attacked it. When it got to about 10k health points he started running low on ings, so he brough his alt uzb to remote heal him. at about 2k health he either ran out of stuff or forgot how to heal on stivy char and died, and I ended up finishing the kill and getting the drop. Was really hilarious, should have streamed :<
