Moebird Report post Posted November 27, 2007 HELP!!! My EL client crashes as soon as I log on and I get the error message "Eternal-Lands Client has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". There is a bit more about "Telling Microsoft about this problem and a choice of send/don't send". I'm going to try fighting again. If no problems. I'll go back to the same spot and see if I have any further problems. Except for the crashing, the new features are slick, slick, slick! Entropy Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Ok, if it crashes again, delete your Eternal Lands directory under My Documents, and restart the client, which should put all the settings to default (you will lose the logs and counters, but not a big deal). cassiopia Report post Posted November 27, 2007 When I first installed EL 1.5.0 I had problems crashing going to and from storage in SRM, I turned off sound and all seemed fine for a few hours I had no problems, but of course was AFK most off the time to see if I could stay in game. The first spell which was TPTPR I tried crashed game and now I cannot log back on, I get the send error report to MS message. I am not sure what to do from here, so if anyone can help I would appreciate it, And I am technically challenged and blond, so layman terms are needed. I have windows XP service pack 2. I deleted EL folder in my documents, still cannpt log on, continues to crash at log in. Do I need to uninstall EL completely and reinstall? I deleted all EL files and redownloaded game and still have same problem after logging on, I get a black screen then an error report to send to MS. I don't know if this could be part of the problem but before installing 1.5.0 the first time I had removed spell data from directory and saved it to desktop to replace in new version. Well I had not put it back into EL folder after installing 1.5.0. I tried the TPTPR spell and that is when I crashed. After redownloading 1.5.0 I put the spell data in folder but it is still not working. [05:51:55] Error: Can't open file "spells_cassiopia.dat" I have Mobile Intel® 915gm/gms 910GML Express chipset family and am running windows xp sp2 I don't get how it was working fine until I tried the spell so maybe that has something to do with it.
